Working at Puma
Our values and culture
As a values-led business, people and purpose-led decision making are at the heart of what we do - from our valued team, the developers we work with and our investors.
Our approach goes beyond foundational diversity practices - both visible and non-visible diversity - and building a team with belonging at the forefront for all our staffs is our priority.
Our people-first practices focus on maintaining an exceptional culture, comprehensive wellbeing initiatives, as well as supporting lifelong learning and development.

It's a 'Great Place to Work'
Recognised as a Great Place to Work consecutively for four years, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built. This year, we ranked 27th in the UK’s Best Workplaces 2026 (Medium category) and are in the top three financial services and insurance firms on the list.
As well as being a great place to work more generally, we have also featured in many 'Best Places to work' rankings including, best places for women, learning and development and within Financial Services and Insurance.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Across the Group, we're proud to have built a diverse team with half of our team female, over 30% from underrepresented minorities and the majority of our functions are headed up by women.
We believe that this diversity enriches our company culture, enhancing our ability to serve a broad range of clients.
Additionally, our belief that historically the property finance industry has been lacking in people from diverse backgrounds has resulted in a galvanised focus to improve this both within our own company as well as for the industry as a whole.
We're passionate about working with the sector to improve in the future and are a part of many wider industry bodies and change agents to continue this momentum.

Building an inclusive workplace
We are committed to building a truly inclusive workplace, one that embraces both visible and non-visible diversity. Our policies and practices are designed to ensure we are proactive in creating an environment where everyone feels supported and valued.
These include blind recruitment, comprehensive inclusivity training and partnering with key leaders in the inclusivity space such as Pearn Kandola, Genius Within and the 10,000 Black Interns Foundation.

Wellbeing
Our team's wellbeing is of critical importance. Our market-leading wellbeing program, Kintsugi, encompasses a holistic approach by addressing four key elements: physical, mental, nutrition, and sleep.
Kintsugi is named after the Japanese tradition of taking something broken and repurposing it with gold - the symbolism of taking care of something imperfect (as we all are) and the act of care making it even more beautiful resonates with our approach on supporting our staff in a variety of ways. It's available for all of our staff, for free, from the moment they join.

Grow your career with us
We take the responsibility of our staff entrusting us with their career seriously. From creating pathways to different types of careers, to access to training, development and continual learning at every level.
We believe a culture where our staff have a voice, a strong culture and access to the knowledge they need is what creates and drives the success we have had as a business.

Where to next?
Our mission is to provide flexible lending solutions to property developers and investors.

We're proud to be part of the Puma Capital Group - an investment group specialising in alternative asset management.

Values and culture are at the heart of everything we do, and we're proud to be recognised as a 'Great Place to Work'.
